Are you thinking about becoming a member of the Carers’ Advisory Partnership?
We’d love for you to join us. You don’t need any experience other than being a carer or former carer.
We welcome carers and former carers from all across North Lincolnshire, whether you are/were caring for a child or an adult.
What we do
The Partnership have regular meetings, these are usually in the morning of the last Thursday each month, at either the Learning Development Centre in Scunthorpe, or at the Carers’ Support Service in Brigg. We meet with representatives from North Lincolnshire Council, North Lincolnshire NHS CCG and the Carers’ Support Service to discuss issues that are important to carers, give feedback on carers’ experiences of services, find out about new developments that will effect carers and to ensure that the carers’ voice is heard when planning or updating services.
In addition to this, some members also take part in working groups for specific projects such as creating the Carers Guide or attending meetings with partner agencies, such as the Adults Partnership. We appreciate that as a carer, your time is limited and you will never be obligated to take part in any of the projects, though we will always welcome your expertise.
How to join
All you need to do is contact us via our contact form, or leave a message with the Carers’ Support Service on 01652 650585, and a member of CAP will call you back for a quick chat. They will answer any questions you may have and let you know when the next meeting is.
If you’d like to attend but are unable to access transport, we may be able to help. Likewise, if you’d like to attend but can’t due to your caring responsibilities, alternate care arrangements may be available, just let us now and we will try to help.
